  • Minutes (Action required *)

  • * In the coming year, the committee expect to organise a social event, support for the Heritage Open Days, and (depending on the success of this year's) another Autumn lecture
  • * Agreed to move AGM into the annual social event, with the next one probably to be held early next Summer
  • Bonita suggested this should be a more family oriented event
  • Derek confirmed the bank account stands at GBP 1679.87
  • Bonita is planning to stand down in the coming year, as she will probably be moving out of the area
  • A resident enquired in what way had Letchworth influenced town planning in Japan, and another (Vitali Vitaliev) was able to reply that 200 towns in that country were influenced by this one, 400 worldwide.
  • The committee welcomed a new member, Brian England
  • * Bonita suggested asking Heritage Foundation to display the centenary plaques created by 1905 residents, during the Heritage Open Days. Perhaps they could be displayed in the Spirella building reception area, where guided walks are likely to start from.
  • It was also suggested that 1907 residents might create similar plaques.
